Grow a Plant Pets Guide: What Pets Do and How to Get One
Pets in Grow a Plant follow you, fight raiding monsters and multiply your cash. Here's what each known pet does and how to hatch one from eggs or Robux.
Pets are Grow a Plant's combat companions: they follow you around, attack the monsters that raid your base, and add a money multiplier to your earnings. You get one by hatching eggs — bought with cash at the egg shop, offered for Robux, or dropped after a monster fight (seen once).

What pets do in Grow a Plant
A pet pulls double duty:
- It fights for you. Dangerous visitors raid your base and show up around the map, and your pet attacks them. In one session, the exclusive witch pet was seen breathing fire at base raiders.
- It boosts your income. Pets add a money multiplier to what you earn — the witch's card lists 3x, while the bee and ladybug hatched with 1x.
Pets aren't invincible. They have health, and monsters can kill them — in one observed session, a killed pet took about 10 minutes to come back. There's also a cap to plan around: in one session, a player could have two pets out at once, a limit they discovered by buying a second one.
The pets seen so far
| Pet | How you get it | What it gives |
|---|---|---|
| Robux purchase, listed around 1,000 Robux in-game | Its in-game card lists a boost to the "bewitched" mutation chance and a 3x money multiplier. Place it down after buying; it then follows you and fights monsters, including a fire breath attack seen in one session. | |
| Bee | Daisy egg from the egg shop (1.5 million cash in one session) | Uncommon rarity, 1x money multiplier, follows you around. |
| Ladybug | A cheaper cash egg from the egg shop | 1x money multiplier, follows you around. |
| Epic-rarity pet | 999 Robux egg offer | Hatched an Epic pet in one observed session. |
Prices and stock move around: the egg shop restocks over time and can be sold out when you check. In one session, the cheapest pet in the shop was 100,000 cash.
A pricier egg isn't a guaranteed upgrade, either. The daisy egg was billed as the better egg by rarity, yet it hatched a bee with the same 1x money multiplier as the cheaper ladybug. Hatches are random by rarity, so treat every egg purchase as a gamble rather than a sure thing.
The recording below follows pets from purchase to base life: buying the exclusive witch, placing her down, and watching her fight and boost income.
How to get your first pet
- Farm cash and watch the egg shop. Stock sells out and restocks over time, so check back often. If you're short on money, check the latest Grow a Plant codes while you're at it.
- Or buy a pet with Robux. The exclusive witch (around 1,000 Robux) is the premium option with its mutation boost and 3x multiplier, and a 999 Robux egg hatched an Epic pet in one observed session. Remember to place the witch down after purchase — only then does she start following you.
- Fight monsters for a chance at free eggs. Defeating the monster encounters can also award eggs that hatch into pets. That was seen once during a fight with the witch, so treat it as a bonus rather than your main plan.
