Grow a Plant Plant Buyers: How to Spot Them and Accept or Decline Offers

Plant buyers in Grow a Plant are NPC visitors that offer to buy your placed plants. Learn the cues that signal a buyer and how to accept or decline their deal.

Plant buyers in Grow a Plant are Robloxian NPC visitors that walk up to your base and offer to buy or bid on plants you've placed down. Handling one is a single choice: when the offer appears, accept it to complete the sale and collect the payout, or decline it to send the visitor away with no sale. Buyer visits only happen once you've planted seeds and have plants placed in your base — see how to grow plants if you're still setting up.

How to spot a buyer visitor

The sure sign is an NPC coming up to your base and making an offer on something you've placed. A few cues tend to show up around that:

  • Downplayed arrivals. One NPC claimed to be "just passing by" — and then tried to buy something anyway. Don't dismiss a visitor just because of what it says.
  • Interest in specific plants. Salesman-type visitors may "like" particular plants of yours before making their offer.
  • Any placed growth counts. Buyers aren't only after fully grown plants — one player watched a visitor buy the sprout instead.

Visits aren't constant, so expect gaps between buyers. One player described offers as rare events in their session, though also noted they "can be very good" when they do land.

Accepting or declining the offer

When a buyer makes its offer, you choose:

  • Accept — the sale completes and the payout arrives. The payout type varies: some deals pay straight cash (one player agreed to a $5,000 deal, and another accepted a large cash offer), while others trade items — one accepted offer handed over a mystery seed pack along with taking the plant, and one salesman gave a common seed in exchange for a plant he liked.
  • Decline — no sale happens and your plant stays put. There's no penalty for turning a visitor down, and you can freely reject every bad bid. One player flatly declined 16,000 cash offered for a rare plant.

Judge each offer on its own merits. Cash amounts and traded items vary a lot between visitors, so a lowball bid isn't a reason to refuse future offers outright. Placed plants also keep earning money by simply sitting there, so declining leaves that income untouched.

Not every visitor wants to buy

Some visitors are not buyers at all. One such visitor presents itself as an inspector with a prompt that only offers "Inspect" or "Nothing" — and the game visibly labels it as fake. If a visitor isn't making an offer on a plant, don't treat it as a sale waiting to happen.

With plants placed in your base, buyers come to you — keep growing, watering, and weighing each offer as it arrives.
